UPB and UTL Field Enumeration SEP 2024

From 1 June 2024 to 30 June 2024, Survei Ekonomi Pertanian (SEP) 2024 field enumeration is underway in Sleman Regency. Apart from enumerating Unit Usaha Pertanian Perorangan or UTP, SEP also enumerates UPB and UTL.

What are UPB and UTL?

Perusahaan Pertanian Berbadan Hukum (UPB) is any form of business that carries out a permanent, ongoing type of business in the agricultural sector which is established with the aim of making a profit and the establishment of the company is protected by law or permission from the competent authority, at least at the district/city level. UPB is generally a large company operating in the agricultural sector.

Usaha Pertanian Lainnya (UTL) are agricultural businesses by non-individuals or non-agricultural companies which are formed on the basis of similar interests, similar environmental, social/economic/resource conditions and familiarity.

UTL can take the form of farmer groups, Islamic boarding schools, government offices, and the like that manage agricultural businesses together on the same land, the results of which are partly or wholly for sale or exchange.
